USA and e-cigarettes: the information war

From Evali (E-cigarette or Vaping Use-Associated Lung Injury) to Covid-19, the opposition to vaping in the USA never misses an opportunity to pursue their crusade.

Following a pressing disinformation campaign, many States have banned - or are about to ban – the use of aromas in e-liquids, and the number of consumers is falling.

But there may be a recipe to save vaping: a return to its original purpose, i.e. helping people to give up smoking.

Speakers: Phil Busardo and Dimitris Agrafiotis, experts and supporters of vaping.
Chaired by Barbara Mennitti, Sigmagazine.

Scientific research, poised between unbiased methodology and biased communication

The scientific community is divided over reduced-risk products, yet evidence should not be subject to interpretation.

Stefano Caliciuri discusses this issue with the professors who lead the field in research applied to vaping, Fabio Beatrice and Riccardo Polosa.

Speakers: Prof. Riccardo Polosa, University of Catania - Director of CoEHAR (the International Center of Excellence for the Reduction of Damage from Smoking based in Catania);
Prof. Fabio Beatrice, Head of the Anti-Smoking Centre of the Don Bosco Hospital in Turin.
Chaired by Stefano Caliciuri, editor of Sigmagazine.

E-cigarettes: market scenarios and prospects

How has the vaping market reacted to the post-Evali (E-cigarette or Vaping Use-Associated Lung Injury) crisis?

What has been the experience of shop owners during the health emergency?

What role will be open to vapers during the review of the EU directive?

These and many other questions will be answered by representatives of producers’, retailers’ and consumers’ associations.

Speakers: Umberto Roccatti, President of ANAFE - Associazione Nazionale Produttori Fumo Elettronico (National Association of E-cig Manufacturers);
Antonella Panuzzo, President of UNIecig - Unione Esercenti Italiani E-cig (Italian E-cig Trade Association);
Carmine Canino, President of ANPVU - Associazione Nazionale Per i Vapers Uniti (Italian Vapers Association).
Chaired by Stefano Caliciuri, editor of Sigmagazine.
